Leather Deflection Tester, to determine the deflection of leather. A specimen of the leather is laid as a horizontal steel beam across a pair of nylon rollers and the deflections are measured when pressure is applied at its mid-point, the pressure applying is between 50 Pa and 100Pa. |

l A pair of nylon rollers with diameter 7±1mm and length 20±1mm.
l A Steel beam of width 15mm, thickness 10±0.5mm and length 130±5mm.
l A yoke carries a scale pan which weight pieces can be placed, the yoke and scale pan together have a mass of 100±1g.
l A pointer and a vertical metal plate carrying a scale for measuring the deflections. |
